Case Study of Passive Air Conditioning: A House Overlooking the Mountains and Sea of the Izu Peninsula

To run electric vehicles using self-generated power, we have introduced power generation and storage facilities, which also serve as a preparation for disasters.

We would like to introduce a case where PassivAircon was implemented as a supplementary heat source during cloudy or rainy weather, alongside OM Solar, which utilizes solar heat directly, in a house that overlooks the mountains and sea of the Izu Peninsula. Solar power generation and storage batteries are selected based on the requests of the residents themselves. This home allows for the enjoyment of stunning views of the Izu mountains and the distant horizon throughout the changing seasons. 【Construction Overview】 ■ Location: Kawazu Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture ■ Site Area: 541.95 m² ■ Building Area: 217.56 m² ■ Total Floor Area: 241.36 m² ■ Building Description: Two-story wooden structure using traditional construction methods *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Fuji Energy Corporation - "Business Introduction"

"Towards the future of energy" "A circular society" as the theme.

Since our founding, we have been challenging ourselves daily with the theme of "effective use of natural energy," striving to find ways for humanity to live in the 21st century with the motto of "being kind to the Earth." Although our efforts may be small, we are committed to contributing to society in a way that helps guide humanity in the right direction. In terms of "effective use of energy," we are engaged in research, development, manufacturing, and sales of systems such as Fuji Heat P Solar (a vacuum tube solar thermal utilization system) and solar power generation systems. Under the goal of "zero waste," we also work on the development and sale of waste oil purification and fuel conversion devices like Fuji Oil and Eco Changer. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

Vacuum tube solar thermal utilization system

The vacuum double glass tube, which collects heat through the power of vacuum and CPC reflectors, enables high-temperature solar heat of up to 200°C even in mid-winter.

The inner surface of the vacuum double glass tube is coated with a selective absorption film that converts sunlight into heat, and when sunlight is irradiated onto the glass tube, the temperature inside the tube rises to about 200°C. Because the gap between the double glass tubes is a vacuum, the interior of the glass tube is unaffected by the outside temperature, allowing it to collect high temperatures even in winter. Furthermore, a CPC reflector that concentrates sunlight is attached to the back of the glass tube, maximizing the amount of heat collected per installation area. There are flat plate, heat pipe vacuum tube, and U-pipe vacuum tube types of solar thermal collectors, but the "Solaris," which has a CPC reflector and uses the U-pipe vacuum tube type, has the highest heat collection amount per installation area. Various solutions are built using this solar thermal collector as a heat source. One use is as a supplementary heat source for hot water boilers in facilities with high hot water demand, such as nursing homes, hospitals, and public baths. Another use is as central air conditioning for office buildings, large commercial facilities, and schools. Solar heat is also utilized in air conditioning systems for cooling, heating, and dehumidification. To prevent global warming, a society that minimizes the use of fossil fuels is necessary, and solar thermal utilization systems can significantly contribute to the protection of the global environment.
